The latest installment of our Consumer Credit Performance Report is now available.
Consumer Unsecured: October is historically a weak month for performance, with Total and 30+ Impairments rising 15 bps MoM. This year, both metrics increased 27 bps and 44 bps, respectively (page 5).
Non-QM: Prepayments remained unchanged MoM—the first sign of prepay stability in seven months (page 24).
CRT: Geography was the biggest contributor to performance, particularly in Florida due to Hurricane Ian (page 30).
Subprime Auto: Impairments rose and were mainly attributed to Hurricane Ian, accounting for 40% of the impairment increase (page 35).
